Hi Nephele!I know some agents pdrvioe editorial assistance to clients prior to subbing to publishers (if they think the MS needs some tweaking). Do Knight Agency agents pdrvioe this service? Also (sorry, sneaking one more in!), is the agency open for queries the rest of this month? I didn't see anything noted on the homepage. Many thanks for your time!Jen

Missed this deed. Just realized this while chnittag with some fellow snowball fighters.I did it only once or twice at the start of the festival, then thought it was a waste of FB coins, and skipped it as suggested by some online guide. The 24h quest cooldown, and the fact that it's only a few more days before Yule ends, means no title. It's sad for a completionist like me, but no biggie, I'll just have to wait one year later. That is, assuming I will still be playing LOTRO by then. This Yule festival is not very well planned I think. Except for the Theater, most other events and quests are poorly implemented and quite frankly, tedious and boring. I only started playing since Oct 2010, so I can only compare my experience in Harvestmath 2010 with Yule 2010. I heard from more veteran players that Beer Bash was quite fun too bad it was removed from Yule this year.

Hi everyone!Okay, a few anrswes. But first, I'm addressing the bulk of C's questions regarding traditional vs. self-publishing , as it just happened to be the topic I'd planned to discuss anyway. Kate: I honestly don't know how well a cousins romance would work in YA. Many modern cultures consider a relationship between first cousins to be close enough that it would be labeled as incestuous. If that was the point of the story, that might make for an intriguing story, but if it was simply a detail in a larger story, I don't think it would go over all that well. Much of it would depend on how you handled it.C: See the link above. I think you're really talking about traditional vs. self-publishing, as traditional publishers do release e-books as well as paper.Delilah: Paranormal has gotten to be a tough market. It's still selling, but your work really needs to stand out as fresh and different, and that's harder to do as more and more books are published in the genre. Contemporary is gaining a pretty strong foothold, however, so if you have a contemporary story you're working on and excited about, you might want to focus on it.Lauren: As long as you don't put up more than a chapter or two, it's not a problem, but don't count on agents finding your blog or you. Definitely make sure to submit via traditional methods as well. But if you post a peek at the project, be sure your contact info is available on the blog, and that you clearly state if the project is complete.Mary/Katina: Regarding posting work on your site, it depends on what sort of work and how you plan to post it and later to sell it. With a novel, you can safely post a couple of chapters and it's not an issue. With shorter work, you don't really want to post the whole thing because, depending where you're shopping it, they might consider that a prior electronic publication. Many journals and small magazines purchase both print and e-rights, and will consider the work published electronically if it's on your site in its entirety, even if you have low traffic. As for fanfic, it's up to the author. Some writers pull their fanfic down because they consider it less polished and don't want to be associated with it anymore. Others have used bits of it in their original material and so they remove it either on their own or based on advice from their agent and/or editor. Ang: Fiction isn't classified by the race, color, sexual preference etc. of the protagonists, as a rule. It's romance or mystery or sff. That's what agents are going to request. It's true that in romance, a m/m or f/f pairing would probably sell to a specific romance imprint that specialized in same-sex relationships, but an agent isn't going to list that they're going to ask for romance novels. The reality is that some agents will probably not take on projects that involve same-sex relationships, whatever the genre, due to their own personal preferences or beliefs. Agents are human beings, too, and not every human being is on board with diversity in life or in fiction. Sad, but true. However, I know a number of agents have included a line in their bios or submissions information, or have blogged openly, about seeking out material with more diverse characters. I include a statement under submissions requirements on my .Megan: Vampires are a really, really hard sell right now. Of all the editors I've talked to recently, only one is still looking for vampire books, and she doesn't edit YA. Part of the problem is all the ongoing series that editors need to consider. They already have more vampire books on the publishing schedule. That said, things turn around all the time, so if you love your book, finish it. You can always sell it later when the market picks up.As for conferences, you don't need to attend a conference to find an agent. Hardly and of my clients came from conference appointments. Most come from the slush pile, or as recommendations from other clients, and in the latter case, the clients are often online critique partners or something of that nature and have never met each other in person. (Gotta love the internet.) My advice is to haunt agent websites and blogs, see who represents your favorite authors who write books similar to your own, pay close attention to submission guidelines, and put real care and time and attention into writing your query letters. Conferences are fun and great learning experiences, but they are not necessary.Jewels: Agents and editors change titles all the time. Don't worry about it so much.Okay, folks, that's it for this round. Thanks for all the great questions!~Nephele

That looks delicious! I'll have to try it when OUR sumemr rolls around in June, hehe. Have you ever considered making berry ice cream or sherbet? That seems like it might quench the abominable sumemr heat. Love your blog, by the way, it's way at the tippy top of my favorites list.

Just because you can get a liencse doesn't mean you have the knowledge or experience or resources to do it yourself.Try someone like help u sell, if you are looking to save money.I would rather pay the commission and know if was done quicker and right.

Like any other agente.Usted reveecis a commission if you sell algo.Espero is not thinking you would be earning a monthly salary? If you're wondering what the commission split would be, it depends on each individual broker and office . You would have to do some research when you get there.

Never trust a hooker or a gold-digger or a fdrlniey woman in a bar!a0a0a0a0 They'll tell her story and she'll get a pay-off.a0a0 There was a culture of loose women, which the SS supervisors promoted and supported.a0a0 This dumb sucker with his Facebook posts thought their attention was to his attractiveness rather than just a potential cash pay-out or ego reassurance for the women.a0a0a0 Sorry to tell you buddy, it wasn't your charm or your body, it was only about their needs and their wants. a0 The fish rots from the head on down.a0 Or, expect more from a culture of debauchery under Obama! If ye go to woman, take your whip, thus spake Zarathustra.
